Dr. Joann Nerone attended John Carroll University and then graduated from the Ohio State University School of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, The Ohio Optometric Association and the Prevent Blindness of Ohio Affiliate.
She was born and raised in Canton, OH and decided to study optometry since she began wearing glasses in the second grade. Dr. Nerone says "I loved the feeling of getting new glasses and being able to see the world in a whole new light. I learned early on the importance of good vision, and decided that I wanted to help people have as healthy eyes as they can, seeing as well as they can."
She delights in seeing children who are initially upset at the news that they need glasses, try them on, and have the biggest smile on their face after looking at the 'new world around them!"
Dr. Nerone has been practicing in Ohio for 10 years. Her specialties include difficult to fit contact lenses including toric and multi-focal lenses, dry eye, red eye and allergic conjunctivitis.
Dr. Nerone lives with her husband and two cats Mia and Nemo in nearby North Ridgeville.
